Craftsmanship, elegance and exclusivity of Neapolitan gloves in ‘’House of the Glove’’ by New York Lineapelle.
The 44th of edition of New York Lineapelle took place at Metropolitan Pavilion of Manhattan, in 19th and 20th July.
The event hosted three stylistic seminars and the corner MIPEL LAB, reserved for Italian leather goods companies specializing in outsourcing, this year ha salso welcomed the exhibition ‘’ HOUSE OF GLOVE’’ curated by the Stazione Sperimentale per l’Industria delle Pelli e delle Materie Concianti.
Goal of the exhibition was to relaunch the art and great tradition of Neapolitan glove makers, who always fascinates lovers of high fashion and sport. At New York Lineapelle it was, in fact , presented a selection of the most original gloves factories of the Campania region, with who the Stazione Sperimentale Pelli is launching a series of relaunch actions to raise awareness of the glove leather as the essence of ‘’Made in Naples’’.
‘’The exhibition- commented Edoardo Imperiale, general director of SSIP- was a great success. It catch the attention of students, entrepreneurs, institutions and visitors in general. The authoritative presence of General Consul of Italy in New York ,Plenipotentiary Minister Fabrizio Di Michele, it was full of ideas of interest and attention. The proximity of the Consulate to the initiative, as part of a project to enhance the cultural heritage of the SSIP, and the presence of Professor Fabrizio Finotti , director of the Italian Cultural Institute in USA, and the common idea of involving the ICE Agency to enhance and relaunch the Neapolitan glove art, they represent excellent news’’.
Nuova Partenopea Pelli, as a company specialized in the production of leather for gloves, is really enthusiastic about the initiatives promoted by SSIP and hopes that ‘’ HOUSE OF GLOVE’’ of New York Lineapelle is only the first stage on the path to rediscovering the ancient art of artisanal production of genuine leather gloves.
