The main techniques of machine stitching

The main machine sewing techniques are:

SADDLER: suitable for thicker sports gloves: in this case, the thread holds the two parts of the leather together, bypassing the edges;
PIQUE’: suitable for very thin gloves: in this case the parts are held and sewn one on the other;
STROCK: widely used technique which consists of a chain stitch, both internal and external.

Hand stitching is instead used only for fine gloves.
