In leather, lace and cotton: gloves for summer 2022.
2022 is the year of gloves, for evening and otherwise , once again they become the coolest accessory in celebrity outfits and not only. No longer just for the retro elegance of the fifties we were used to with iconic Audry Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe, but also for the outfits of the big Dior catwalks, Gucci, Balenciaga, Fendi and Off-White and for the more irreverent and informal street style looks.
In fact, celebrities of the moment no longer use them only for big occasions, but daily basis. At an aperitif, at a business meeting or to go out for dinner it is always the right time to put on a nice pair of gloves. For example, Chiara Ferragni wore them with a coordinator Marc Jacobs, while eating an hambuger in New York.
What has contributed to bring gloves back to the fore, even in everyday life, it is definitely the TV series ‘’ Emily in Paris’’, where Lily Collins shows off outfits always accessorized with stylish gloves as a biker. Not only winter to protect yourself from cold, but also in spring- summer simply to complete the look.
With the arrival of the warm season, leather gloves are mainly used by motorcycles lovers, especially in the evening. For daytime looks, trends of the moment mostly offer gloves in cotton and lace.
