From 20 to 22 February 2019, the 96th Lineapelle edition took place at Fiera Milano Rho. This international exhibition of accessories, components, fabrics and models this year hosted 1255 exhibitors from 44 different countries,scattered through the world.
Focus of this edition was the co-natural evolution of fashion & luxury industry. This is, in fact, the common denominator of creative suggestions for 2020 summer. New collections, not at random, are all based on an evolutionary idea that combines nature and technology, revealing a deep ethical and sustainable sensitivity.
In addiction, during the event there were debate and reflection moments. Among greater interest events, there was the conference organized by UNIC- CONCERIE ITALIANE in collaboration with CONFINDUSTRIA : ‘’ Italian skins circularity- 360° sustainability.
At the base of meeting, the necessity to make a reflection about circularity of Italian Tannery that is not enough valued. ‘’Italian tannery- explain UNIC- represents a reference model for circular economy. With an industrial, modern , systemic and avant-gard approach transforms a food waste into a material of quality and excellence. Not only. Anticipating European bioeconomy strategy, Italian tanning industry has managed to go beyond its sectorial horizon, creating conditions so that waste products became raw materials for other industrial chains . So it can inaugurate a true symbiosis with entire value chain.’’
During conferences there were spaces for the youngest, such as ‘’Amici per la pelle’’ and the exhibitions ‘’ Coriacea’’ where it has been celebrated the point of contact between art and matter. In particular were celebrated the importance of skin as an unconventional expressive support.
Next appointment with Lineapelle Milano is fixed from 2 to 4 October 2019, for the new winter 2020/21 collection presentation.
