Another unmissable event for those involved in the tanning sector took place in Hong Kong from March 31 important event for the geographical position where is held, considered strategic in the Asiatic leather market, the Chinese capital is in fact an essential hub for the global economy, an important meeting point between exhibitors and visitors from all over the world. This year the fair celebrated its thirtieth anniversary with many events on topics about: leather… Past,present and future: 30 years of innovation.
Thanks to the synergy with Material Manufacturing & Technology the event APLF , held for the first time in 1984, after some time has been recognized as the largest in Hong Kong . The fair has earned a solid reputation over time, thanks to high quality materials, ”Fashion Access” presented leather garments, luggage, handbags, shoes, fashion accessories, small leather goods and sustainable products. The event, which takes place twice a year has the chance to get instant visibility for exhibitors and creates numerous opportunities for business between buyers and exhibitors.
In this edition Chinese buyers have increased exponentially, many of them are buyers of famous European and Usa retail in Asia and it is expected that the number of those visitors will continue to rise. Fashion Access presented the proposals for the coming autumn and winter , showing four major trends. Urban Galaxy: a stylish but functional for a national mood, the materials are simple, innovative and with high performance, the colors are neutral with accents of dark colors and acid colors enhanced by silver treatments; Planet earth: casual chic and nostalgic at times where is exalted the spirit of nature, a relaxed mood with references to vintage: the 50s and 60s inspirations are mixed to a more casual look. Materials are natural,luxurious and nostalgic, warm color are combined with the cold ones, grayish greens are combined with earth tones. Mysterious star: a glamorous and flashy for the evening. Materials are sumptuous and spectacular. The palette is sophisticated and shows deep and intense shades until black. Romantic comet: a tendency to rock and romantic at times relaxed and sexy. Surpising materials clash with the more traditionals ones. Leathers are colored in red and pink mixed with darker tones. Different influences that merge for a surprising result. Skin exposed at the event have often proved innovative processes with clear references to ecological values. The progress of the Fashion Access in Hong Kong is an exciting challenge, it isn’t underestimated the importance of the many trials and the respect for nature; past and future in this fair look in the same direction.
